Summary: This article summarizes the main points of discussion from a symposium on global health organized by the editorial board of Global Health Research and Policy in Wuhan, China. Experts at the symposium reached a consensus that global health is still influenced by colonial vestiges and systematic reforms are needed to decolonize it. Three levels of colonial vestiges in global health were identified, and a guiding principle for finding solutions was proposed.
