Comparison of peak skin dose and dose map obtained with real-time software and radiochromic films in patients undergoing abdominopelvic embolization

Joel Greffier et al.

Summary: This study compared the peak skin dose (PSD) and dose map measured by radiochromic films and calculated by Dose-Tracking-System (DTS) software in patients undergoing abdomino-pelvic embolization. The results showed a substantial concordance between the two methods and visually similar dose maps. The DTS software allows for accurate computation of PSD and generation of adequate dose maps.

Efficacy, safety and outcomes of transcatheter arterial embolization with N-butyl cyanoacrylate glue for non-variceal gastrointestinal bleeding: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Olivier Chevallier et al.

Summary: The study conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis on the use of N-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) as the single embolic agent for transcatheter arterial embolization (TAE) in the treatment of non-variceal upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Results indicated that NBCA is safe and effective for managing non-variceal gastrointestinal bleeding, with high clinical success and very low major complication rates.
