Summary: Community structure detection is important in financial network studies. This study proposes a geometric coarse graining method based on Voronoi regions, where the analysis is performed on the triangular maximally filtering of a financial network. Haantjes curvatures of paths are used to capture changes in coarse grains geometry throughout a financial stress.

ω-soft sets and medical decision-making application

Murat Kirisci

Summary: Pythagorean Fuzzy Set is a generalization of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set, with better decision-making mechanisms in real-life problems for uncertainty. The combination of Pythagorean Fuzzy Set and Soft Set results in Pythagorean Fuzzy Soft Set, which addresses undefined objects effectively. Investigating the properties of the new set, defined as Pythagorean Fuzzy Parametrized Pythagorean Fuzzy Soft Set(omega-Soft Set), with the parameter function's domain as a complete lattice, allows for solving problems in definitions and operations of subsets, unions, and intersections. Lastly, the decision-making problem solution for omega-Soft Set and related concepts is presented as an application.

Community Structure and Systemic Risk of Bank Correlation Networks Based on the U.S. Financial Crisis in 2008

Yajing Huang et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the community structure of the bank correlation network and systemic risk of community sub-networks. It finds that small communities exhibit significant volatility in financial systemic risk, but as the number of nodes increases, the risk tends towards stability and lower levels. Additionally, systemic risk and community size almost follow a power law distribution trend.
