Analysis of self-loosening behavior of high strength bolts based on accurate thread modeling

Summary: This study focuses on the short-term self-loosening behavior of high strength bolts without external loads, using finite element method to construct a 3D model for analysis and proposing a new analytical method. It is found that self-loosening behavior is influenced by both elastic and plastic factors, with plastic deformation having a greater impact, and the behavior increases with tightening torque but decreases with friction coefficient.
