Toward Rational Design of Electrogenerated Molecularly Imprinted Polymers (eMIPs): Maximizing Monomer/Template Affinity

P. U. Ashvin Iresh Fernando et al.

Summary: The study presents a strategy for optimizing MIP synthesis by using molecular simulations to predict the final polymer properties without iterative analysis. By utilizing molecular simulations and H-1 NMR titrations to predict the optimal monomer/2,4-D ratio, effective monomer selection and experimental parameter optimization were achieved.

Molecular Imprints Frozen by Strong Intermolecular Interactions in Place of Cross-Linking

Cherifa Ayadi et al.

Summary: A new method for freezing molecular imprints in polymer materials without cross-linking agents has been reported. Evidence of molecular imprints is provided through differential adsorption to imprinted and non-imprinted materials. Fast adsorption kinetics are advantageous for applications such as chromatographic separations and chemical sensors.
