The homotopy perturbation method for fractional differential equations: part 2, two-scale transform

Muhammad Nadeem et al.

Summary: This paper aims to find an approximate solution of a fractional differential equation by using fractional complex transform and homotopy perturbation method. The solution process of the fractional Newell-Whitehead-Segel equation is elucidated. The findings show that the homotopy perturbation method and two-scale transform provide new numerical approaches for fractional calculus.

The Analysis of Fractional-Order Nonlinear Systems of Third Order KdV and Burgers Equations via a Novel Transform

A. A. Alderremy et al.

Summary: In this article, we solve nonlinear systems and coupled Burgers equations using two different methods and employing Laplace transform and Atangana-Baleanu fractional derivative operator. The convergence of the method is successfully demonstrated and mathematically proved by comparing the obtained results with exact solutions through graphs and tables. Moreover, the results obtained at different fractional orders are compared, confirming the suitability and effectiveness of the proposed techniques in solving partial differential equations or systems.

On the analysis of an analytical approach for fractional Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon equations

Jagdev Singh et al.

Summary: The principal aim of this paper is to study the approximate solution of the nonlinear Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon equation of fractional order using an analytical method. The uniqueness and convergence analysis for the method are proven. The results demonstrate that the applied technique is very efficient in obtaining solutions for fractional order mathematical models.

A novel analytical algorithm for generalized fifth-order time-fractional nonlinear evolution equations with conformable time derivative arising in shallow water waves

Omar Abu Arqub et al.

Summary: The purpose of this research is to study a class of temporal time-FNEE models with time-FCDs and develop an efficient semi-analytical algorithm for solving fifth-order time-FCKdVEs. The research provides analytical solutions for several equations and discusses the theoretical and numerical consequences. The developed algorithm is compared to existing numerical methods through physical experiments and shows superiority. Representative results are presented in graphs and the dynamic behaviors of fractional parameters are reported.

Numerical simulation of telegraph and Cattaneo fractional-type models using adaptive reproducing kernel framework

Mohammed Al-Smadi et al.

Summary: This article considers a class of generalized telegraph and Cattaneo time-fractional models with Robin's initial-boundary conditions using an adaptive reproducing kernel framework. A relatively novel numerical treatment is introduced to investigate and interpret approximate solutions, displaying superior, accurate, and convenient performance in solving such fractional models.

An efficient difference scheme for time-fractional KdV equation

Zhiyong Xing et al.

Summary: An efficient numerical method is proposed for the nonlinear time fractional KdV equation with Caputo fractional derivative, which can effectively handle the weak singularity of the model at t = 0 and has high accuracy. The stability and convergence of the difference scheme are rigorously established, supported by several numerical experiments.

On the stability, integrability and boundedness analyses of systems of integro-differential equations with time-delay retardation

Cemil Tunc et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the stability of a linear system of integro-delay differential equations with constant time retardation, proving a new theorem on asymptotic stability of the zero solution. By constructing a more suitable Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, the authors obtain results for uniformly asymptotic stability of zero solution under weaker conditions and explore the integrability and boundedness of solutions. The paper also provides numerical examples for illustrative purposes and makes contributions to the topic and relevant literature.

Qualitative analysis of caputo fractional integro-differential equations with constant delays

Martin Bohner et al.

Summary: This paper considers a nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equation with Caputo fractional derivative, multiple kernels, and multiple constant delays, and investigates qualitative properties of solutions such as stability and boundedness. Four new theorems on these properties are proved, with the technique involving Lyapunov functions and the Lyapunov-Razumikhin method. Two examples, including one related to an RLC circuit, illustrate the applications of the obtained results, which are new, original, and useful for applied researchers in sciences and engineering.
