RC members externally strengthened with FRP composites by grooving methods including EBROG and EBRIG: A state-of-the-art review

Khaled Sanginabadi et al.

Summary: This study reviews previous research on strengthening structural members using the grooving method and evaluates the effects of the method on beams, slabs, columns, and beam-column joints. The results show that the grooving method can postpone or prevent premature debonding and significantly improve the performance of structural concrete members.

The effect of mortar grade on the out-of-plane behaviour of low-strength masonry wall strengthened with welded wire mesh

Hopeful Syiemiong et al.

Summary: The study found that mortar grade has minimal effect on the flexural strength of unstrengthened specimens, but has a significant impact on the flexural strength and ductility of WWM-strengthened specimens. There is little difference in ductility between medium and strong mortared WWM-strengthened specimens. The failure of WWM-strengthened specimens is limited to the masonry walls, indicating the overstrength of WWM.

Flexural behavior of low strength masonry wallettes strengthened with welded wire mesh

Hopeful Syiemiong et al.

Summary: This study evaluates the feasibility of using welded wire mesh as an alternative external strengthening material to improve the out-of-plane behavior of low strength hollow concrete masonry walls. Results show that reinforced masonry walls exhibit significantly increased flexural loads and ductility.
