Sensitive determination of urinary muconic acid using magnetic dispersive-solid-phase extraction by magnetic amino-functionalised UiO-66

Razzagh Rahimpoor et al.

Summary: In this study, a magnetic-dispersive solid-phase extraction (DSPE) method was developed for the extraction and desorption of muconic acid from real urine samples. Fe3O4-SiO2-NH2@ UiO-66 was used as a Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) in the DSPE for extraction followed by HPLC analysis. The method showed good detection limit, wide linear dynamic range, and high correlation coefficient, indicating its efficiency for the extraction and analysis of muconic acid from urine samples.

Facile fabrication of amino-functionalized MIL-68(Al) metal-organic framework for effective adsorption of arsenate (As(V))

Alireza Rahmani et al.

Summary: An amino-functionalized MIL-68(Al) metal-organic framework was synthesized and its adsorption performance and reusability for arsenate were studied. The results showed that the adsorption of arsenate on the material was influenced by solution pH, adsorbent dose, arsenate concentration, and reaction time. Under optimal conditions, the predicted and experimental arsenate removal efficiencies were 99.45% and 99.87%, respectively. The study demonstrated that the amino-functionalized MIL-68(Al) can be an effective material for the treatment of arsenate-contaminated water, with high surface area and reusability.

Application of a needle trap device packed with a MIP@MOF nano-composite for efficient sampling and determination of airborne diazinon pesticide

Razzagh Rahimpoor et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel nano-composite MIP@MOF was used for sampling, extraction, and analysis of diazinon from air. The parameters of sampling and desorption were optimized using response surface methodology. The performance of the method was evaluated by determining important parameters and comparing with the standard method. The results showed that the proposed method is a fast, simple, environmentally friendly, selective, and effective procedure for sampling and determining diazinon in air.
