The opening workspace control strategy of a novel manipulator-driven emission source microscopy system

Xiaorui Liu et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel cylinder-aperture ESM measurement system driven by a 6-DOF manipulator, aiming to increase the accuracy of localizing electromagnetic interference sources in electronic systems. The system generates the maximum-area aperture and optimizes the scanning trajectory using a control strategy. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the cylinder-aperture ESM measurement in capturing the radiation pattern of the emission source.

Microbes contribute to setting the ocean carbon flux by altering the fate of sinking particulates

Trang T. H. Nguyen et al.

Summary: Micro-scale microbial community dynamics significantly impact the fate of sinking particles in the ocean, playing a crucial role in global carbon cycling and future climate. By scaling-up essential features of particle-associated microbial dynamics, this study provides mechanistic insight into the contribution of microbes to the vertical carbon flux in the ocean.

Microimage coupled Raman optical probes for benthic solid target detection

Qingsheng Liu et al.

Summary: A novel approach of introducing microimage into underwater Raman system was presented in this study to address the difficulties in solid detection of Raman in the sea. Experimental results showed that this method achieved good laser focusing and spectra analysis, and was successfully applied for in situ detection in the deep sea.

Teleoperation Control of an Underactuated Bionic Hand: Comparison between Wearable and Vision-Tracking-Based Methods

Junling Fu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the teleoperation control of an underactuated bionic hand using wearable and vision-tracking system-based methods. Nonlinear behavior of the bionic hand is observed and a kinematics model is formulated. Wearable-glove-based and vision-tracking-based teleoperation control frameworks are implemented. Experiments are conducted to demonstrate the feasibility and performance of these methods, and user study and demonstration experiments are carried out to verify their performance in grasp tasks.
