Core-Shell Nanoarchitectonics of CoFe2O4 Encapsulated La2Fe2O6 Nanoparticles for Their Use in Various Applications

Ebtesam E. Ateia et al.

Summary: This study investigates diphasic composites with core-shell nanostructures formed by La2Fe2O6/CoFe2O4 and discusses the advantages and disadvantages of different synthesis techniques. The presence of both spinel CoFe2O4 nano ferrite and orthorhombic La2Fe2O6 perovskite phases is observed. The study also discovers that the preparation conditions can reduce the switching field distribution value for the core-shell nanoparticles. Core-shell nanoparticles show potential for regulating magnetic properties in applications such as heavy metal removal and data storage.

Nitrogen-Doped Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework and Particle-Reduced Graphene Oxide Composites as Electrochemical Sensors and Battery-Type Supercapacitors

Shamim Ahmed Him et al.

Summary: In this study, a nitrogen-doped zeolite imidazolate framework (N-ZIF-67) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-based composite (N-ZIF-67.rGO) with superior electrochemical properties was synthesized as a sensor for hydroxylamine detection. The N-ZIF-67.rGO composite exhibited higher sensitivity and a wider linear range for HA detection than N-ZIF-67 alone. Additionally, it showed superior specific capacitance as a supercapacitor compared to N-ZIF-67, with fast electron transfer kinetics and high stability.

Recent Progress of Nanoscale Metal-Organic Frameworks in Synthesis and Battery Applications

Ming Zhong et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted widespread attention as a promising inorganic-organic hybrid crystal material, particularly in energy storage and conversion. Effective strategies have been developed to construct uniform nanoscale MOFs (NMOFs) with shorter diffusion pathways, more accessible active sites, and opportunities for post-functionalization and hybridization. Recent applications of NMOFs in batteries as electrodes, separators, and electrolytes have also been discussed.
