A green and sustainable organic molecule electrode prepared by fluorenone for more efficient energy storage

Liwen Lv et al.

Summary: In this study, an organic molecule electrode was reported, where 2,7-Dihydroxy-9-fluorenone (DHFO) molecules are anchored on highly conductive graphene sheets. The DHFO/rGO composite showed high specific capacitance and satisfactory capacitance retention in an H2SO4 aqueous electrolyte. The asymmetrical supercapacitor assembled with DHFO/rGO and AQ/rGO exhibited a maximum energy density of 28.57 Wh kg(-1) and good cycle stability.
