This paper comprehensively reviews the applications and research progress of phase change and boiling heat transfer technology in the field of power battery thermal management. It analyzes the existing problems and future development trends.
In this paper, we explain the change of flow status of the working medium in the heat transfer process and heat transfer mechanism of pool boiling and in-tube forced convective boiling, comprehensively review the latest applications and research progress of phase change and boiling heat transfer technology in the field of power battery thermal management from two new perspectives of contact and non-contact, summarize the core problems in the study, and analyze the future development trend of main phase change and boiling heat transfer technologies. It is believed that with the increasing attention to power battery thermal management and thermal safety research and the continuous breakthrough of the core theory and technology, the application value of phase change and boiling heat transfer will be further enhanced. It will promote a new round of upgrading of power battery thermal management.
