Investigation of boiling hydrogen flow characteristics under low-pressure conditions - Flow regime transition characteristics

Yuki Sakamoto et al.

Summary: Understanding the flow-regime transition characteristics of boiling hydrogen through experimental investigation is crucial for improving space-vehicle performance. Different flow regimes, including fully liquid phase, dispersed bubbly flow, intermittent flow, and annular flow, were observed during the experiment. Boundary models were constructed based on dominant forces, with a semi-theoretical model predicting experimental data with 96.7% accuracy.

Prospects of measuring Rb in hadronic Z decays at the CEPC

B. Li et al.

Summary: With an integrated luminosity of 45 ab-1 at s=91.2 GeV, more than 1012 Z bosons will be produced at the CEPC, allowing for precise study of Z boson physics. The study in this paper focuses on measuring the relative partial width Rb of Z boson into b quarks using the double-tagging method, demonstrating good performance and successful verification through a closure test. Systematic errors related to b-tagging efficiencies and hemisphere correlation are investigated and studied preliminarily.

Pressure recovery during pressure reduction experiment with large-scale liquid hydrogen tank

Kazuma Tani et al.

Summary: The world's first LH2 carrier has been built to transport LH2 from Australia to Japan. Pressure reduction at Japanese port for safe tank operation can cause flashing and lead to venting capacity excess or liquid leakage. Experimental and numerical approaches were used to study pressure reduction rate and liquid behavior, with findings that pressure recovery occurred at the beginning of depressurization and tank pressure followed saturation pressure after liquid fully stirred.
