Long-term performance and degradation analysis of different PV modules under temperate climate

Arechkik Ameur et al.

Summary: This study conducted long-term performance and degradation analysis on three silicon-based PV technologies, showing that crystalline silicon technologies outperform amorphous silicon. Economic investigation revealed that polycrystalline silicon technology is the most cost-effective system and the most suitable for installation in mountain temperate climate.

The state of solar PV and performance analysis of different PV technologies grid-connected installations in Hungary

Divine Atsu et al.

Summary: Hungary has a relatively high solar energy resource that has not been fully exploited. The government has established necessary policies and incentives to promote renewable energy, but challenges in land acquisition and legal definitions of PV systems still exist. The installed solar PV capacity in Hungary is 790 MWp with a target to have 14.65% of electricity demand supplied by renewable energy sources by 2020.

Performance evaluation and analysis of grid-tied large scale PV plant in Algeria

Mouhcen El-Hadi Dahmoun et al.

Summary: Algeria has made exceptional efforts in tapping its renewable energy potential, aiming to meet a large portion of its electricity demand with clean and sustainable resources. A study evaluated the performance of a 23.92MWp solar PV plant in El Bayadh, Algeria, over a period of 36 months from March 2017 to February 2020. The results showed that the actual data from the PV plant output closely matched the predicted data, with a strong correlation observed between module temperature and performance ratio. Moreover, the degradation rate of the PV plant's performance ratio during the monitoring period was estimated at 0.76% per year.
