Transcriptional control of ribosome biogenesis in yeast: links to growth and stress signals

David Shore et al.

Summary: Ribosome biogenesis in yeast cells requires significant transcriptional output and is regulated by various transcription factors such as Rap1, Fhl1, Ifh1, and Sfp1. Recent studies have also identified the involvement of Hmo1 and a protein homeostasis mechanism known as the Ribosome Assembly Stress Response (RASTR) in the control of RPG transcription.
