Territorial Distribution of EU Funds Allocation for Developments of Rural Romania during 2014-2020

Summary: Determinants of rural development project implementation based on the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) of the European Union include agricultural land abundancy, land concentration degree, and local human development level. Average salary and population density have little impact on project implementation. Spatial analysis suggests contagion and diffusion processes for fund accession through projects.

Design of the macroeconomic evolution of Romania's agriculture 2020-2040

Summary: The aim of this article is to design the macroeconomic evolution of Romania's agriculture by analyzing three indicators and comparing its agricultural performance with other countries. The study suggests that Romania may not achieve the average level of the EU or other countries until 2040 based on historical data and anticipated progress. However, with an annual growth rate of 3.5% and future agricultural reform measures, it is possible to narrow the gap.

Creation of climate-smart and energy-efficient agriculture in the European Union: Pathways based on the frontier analysis

Summary: This paper analyzes the energy efficiency and productivity growth in the agriculture of the European Union. The average annual productivity growth of 0.79% was obtained for the selected countries during 1995-2016, with Lithuania, Denmark, Belgium, and Romania showing the highest productivity gains. The productivity growth related to GHG emission dominated the contributions by the input/output variables in several countries.
