The quantitative proteome atlas of a model cyanobacterium

Jinlong Wang et al.

Summary: Using label-free quantitative proteomics, we mapped 2027 proteins of the model cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp. PCC6803 to different subcellular compartments and generated a proteome atlas. The atlas revealed unexpected but important findings, changing the concept of kinase activation and providing valuable resources for cyanobacterial research community.
