Determining extracellular vesicles properties and miRNA cargo variability in bovine milk from healthy cows and cows undergoing subclinical mastitis

Mara D. Saenz-de-Juano et al.

Summary: This study evaluated changes in EVs size and concentration over three consecutive days of sampling and analyzed differences in miRNA cargo in different health statuses and infected quarters. The results showed that miRNA cargo in EVs remained stable over three days, and infected quarters did not significantly affect the EVs of adjacent healthy quarters.

RNA-Seq Reveals the Role of miR-29c in Regulating Inflammation and Oxidative Stress of Bovine Mammary Epithelial Cells

Jian Yang et al.

Summary: The potential role of miR-29c in regulating oxidative stress and inflammatory response in bovine mammary epithelial cells has been investigated. This study found that miR-29c may play an important role in maintaining the steady state of the mammary gland in dairy cows and could be a potential therapeutic target for mastitis.

Bovine Mastitis: Prevalence, Risk Factors, and Bacterial Pathogens Isolated in Lactating Cows in Gamo Zone, Southern Ethiopia

Nahom Belay et al.

Summary: This study determined the overall prevalence of bovine mastitis in Gamo area and isolated the major pathogenic bacteria. The results showed that Staphylococcus aureus was the most predominant bacterial pathogen. Breed, parity, udder depth, and tick infestation were identified as significant risk factors for mastitis occurrence.

lncRNA NEAT1 ameliorates LPS-induced inflammation in MG63 cells by activating autophagy and suppressing the NLRP3 inflammasome

Wenyu Dai et al.

Summary: The study found that stimulation of MG63 cells with LPS led to downregulation of NEAT1, increase in expression of inflammatory cytokines, inhibition of autophagy and osteogenesis-related proteins, promotion of apoptosis, and alteration of the cell cycle.

miR-223: An Effective Regulator of Immune Cell Differentiation and Inflammation

Peng Jiao et al.

Summary: miR-223 is an important miRNA that plays a critical role in various biological processes such as cell differentiation and immune modulation. It is regulated by different transcription factors and mediates its biological functions through changes in cellular or tissue expression. miR-223 is involved in regulating the differentiation of granulocytes, dendritic cells, as well as inflammation in diseases like lung inflammation and rheumatoid arthritis.
