Revealing the Precipitation Sequence with Aging Temperature in a Non-equiatomic AlCoCrFeNi High Entropy Alloy

Vickey Nandal et al.

Summary: Sequential transformation of precipitate structure from L1(2) to B2-NiAl has been observed in Al0.5Co1.5CrFeNi1.5 alloy with increasing aging temperature. A coarser and more stable B2-NiAl rich precipitate is formed at higher aging temperatures (850 degrees C) due to the higher thermodynamic stability of B2-NiAl precipitates.

Large-size high-strength and high-ductility AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high-entropy alloy produced by hot-rolling and subsequent aging

Zhe Liu et al.

Summary: The feasibility of thermomechanical processing for large-size AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high-entropy alloy has been evaluated. It is found that hot-rolling can achieve outstanding tensile properties comparable to cold-rolling, while cold-rolling and warm-rolling are not effective in deforming large-size AlCoCrFeNi2.1.

Microstructural evolution and local mechanical properties of dendrites in Al0.6CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy

Genfeng Shang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the microstructural evolution and local mechanical properties of dendrites in Al0.6CoCrFeNi high entropy alloy at different annealing temperatures. Electron microscopy and nanoindentation tests were used, and it was found that L1(2) and B2 phases varied with annealing temperature in the dendritic core region, while the body-centered cubic phase transformed into the sigma phase in the inter-dendritic region. These phase transformations significantly affected the hardness of the material.

Thermal stability, microstructure and texture evolution of thermomechanical processed AlCoCrFeNi2.1 eutectic high entropy alloy

M. H. Asoushe et al.

Summary: The microstructural and textural evolutions of as-cast high entropy alloy were investigated during thermomechanical processing at temperatures ranging from 25 to 500 degrees Celsius. The alloy exhibited significant strength-ductility ratio at room temperature and maintained mechanical stability at elevated temperatures. The volume fractions of constituent phases and the texture of the alloy were found to be consistent across different deformation temperatures.

Summary: The study investigated the effects of homogenized treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of AlCoCrFeNi2.2 alloy. Results showed that the hardness of the alloy decreased while the ductility increased after homogenized treatment, making it more suitable for industrial applications.
