Ungendered writing: Writing styles are unlikely to account for gender differences in funding rates in the natural and technical sciences

Dynamics of cumulative advantage and threats to equity in open science: a scoping review

Summary: Open Science has the potential to make scientific endeavors more inclusive, participatory, understandable, accessible, and reusable. However, there are significant disparities in the capacity to engage in open processes, which may perpetuate conditions of 'cumulative advantage'. Existing research highlights threats to equity in all aspects of Open Science, including Open Access, Open Data, Open Methods, Open Evaluation, Citizen Science, and their interactions with society, industry, and policy. Key threats include stratification in publishing, a widening digital divide, diminishing qualitative methodologies, bias and exclusion in evaluation, and asymmetries in relationships with industry and the public.

When Gender Matters in Scientific Communication: The Role of Generic Language

Peer review and gender bias: A study on 145 scholarly journals
