Inventory decisions for humanitarian aid materials considering budget constraints

Muege Acar et al.

Summary: This study aims to address the issue of how humanitarian aid organizations decide the quantities of materials to procure before and after disasters when faced with budget limitations. By developing single and two-product models, as well as proposing approximation algorithms for multiple product cases, the study provides managerial insights through detailed numerical experiments and presents a case study with real life data.
