Generating Dual-Polarized Vortex Beam by Detour Phase: From Phase Gradient Metasurfaces to Metagratings

Kuang Zhang et al.

Summary: This study introduces a novel method for generating dual-polarized vortex beams by introducing detour phase and modulating phase through adjusting the position of meta-atoms. Two types of unit cells are designed to achieve specific diffraction order, enabling independent adjustment of TE and TM polarizations as well as fabrication of vortex beam generators with different topological charges. The ability to manipulate polarizations independently is demonstrated by designing generators with different polarizations in different frequency bands, showing great potential for polarization division multiplexing in OAM communication systems.

Three-dimensional direct lithography of stable perovskite nanocrystals in glass

Ke Sun et al.

Summary: This study presents a method of three-dimensional direct lithography of perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) in glass, allowing for the control of composition and bandgap through ultrafast laser-induced liquid nanophase separation. The fabricated PNCs exhibit remarkable stability against UV irradiation, organic solution, and high temperatures, making them suitable for optical storage, micro-light emitting diodes, and holographic displays.

In Situ Three-Dimensional Observation of Perovskite Crystallization Revealed by Two-Photon Fluorescence Imaging

Wenkai Yang et al.

Summary: Understanding in situ crystallization of perovskite materials is crucial for their applications. In this study, two-photon excitation fluorescence microscopy was used to investigate the three-dimensional crystallization of perovskites. The spatiotemporal kinetics of nanocrystal formation during crystallization was observed, revealing the starting point of crystallization. The results demonstrate that two-photon excitation fluorescence microscopy is a powerful tool for studying the in situ crystallization of perovskite materials and fluorescence-related chemical reactions in three dimensions.

Quasi-phase-matching-division multiplexing holography in a three-dimensional nonlinear photonic crystal

Pengcheng Chen et al.

Summary: This work demonstrates a quasi-phase-matching (QPM) -division multiplexing holography using a three-dimensional (3D) nonlinear photonic crystal (NPC), capable of efficiently reconstructing target images at the second-harmonic (SH) wave and easily switching between reconstructed SH images by changing the QPM condition. The multiplexing capacity is scalable with the period number of 3D NPC, providing a promising strategy for highly efficient nonlinear multiplexing holography for high-security and high-density storage of optical information.
