Association Between Sex Hormone Levels and Gut Microbiota Composition and Diversity-A Systematic Review

The increased group exhibited exaggerated psychological and physiological stress response, while the decreased group had higher anticipatory endocrine response, stress, and anxiety sensitivity. Further research is needed to explore factors, including gut microbiota, affecting individual differences in HPA response.
