Imaging Predictors for Endovascular Recanalization of Non-acute Occlusion of Internal Carotid Artery Based on 3D T1-SPACE MRI and DSA

Liu Chao et al.

Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed consecutive cases of internal carotid artery occlusion with ipsilateral ischemic stroke refractory to therapy between February 2017 and August 2020. The results showed that factors such as early ischemic event, tapered stump, reversed flow of the ophthalmic artery, high intraluminal signal, and no vessel wall collapse were associated with successful recanalization.

Vascular Diameters as Predictive Factors of Recanalization Surgery Outcomes in Internal Carotid Artery Occlusion

Chengrui Yan et al.

Summary: The study identified that the ipsilateral-to-contralateral diameter ratios of C1 or C2 and the diameter of C7 are predictive factors of revascularization surgery success in ICAO patients. A two-factor predictive model was constructed to assess the risk of recanalization failure in ICAO patients.
