Magnetic nanoparticles based on cerium MOF supported on the MWCNT as a fluorescence quenching sensor for determination of 6-mercaptopurine

Elham Ashrafzadeh Afshar et al.

Summary: In this study, a new magnetic nanocomposite was developed as a fluorescence quenching sensor for determining the anticancer drug 6-mercaptopurine. The nanocomposite was synthesized by magnetizing a needle shape fluorescence metal-organic framework on the surface of multiwalled carbon nanotubes. The proposed method successfully detected trace amounts of 6-mercaptopurine with high accuracy.

Detection of Pancreatic Cancer miRNA with Biocompatible Nitrogen-Doped Graphene Quantum Dots

Ryan Ajgaonkar et al.

Summary: This study developed a non-invasive method for early detection of pancreatic cancer by detecting specific miRNA using fluorescence properties. Biocompatible nitrogen-doped graphene quantum dots (NGQDs) were synthesized and combined with charged bait DNA to form a complex. The fluorescence of NGQDs can distinguish specific DNA sequences with high sensitivity. This approach enables the detection of cancer-specific miRNA non-invasively, facilitating early diagnosis.
