Ethanol-derived white emissive carbon dots: the formation process investigation and multi-color/white LEDs preparation

Boyang Wang et al.

Summary: Carbon dots (CDs) have been synthesized using ethanol as a carbon source, composed of blue-, cyan-, and yellow-emitting CDs which fluoresce at corresponding wavelengths. The red-shift in emission peaks is attributed to increased carbonization in polymer structure, leading to different surface states. Theoretically verified results have successfully been used in developing multi-color and white light-emitting diodes (LEDs).

High-quality full-color carbon quantum dots synthesized under an unprecedentedly mild condition

Yuan-Jun Tong et al.

Summary: In this study, high-quality full-color carbon quantum dots (CQDs) were successfully fabricated under unprecedentedly low temperature and pressure. The CQDs demonstrated stable and narrow fluorescent emissions, as well as uniform luminescent centers and dominant radiative decay channels. Additionally, the CQDs were utilized to develop full-color light-emitting diodes and logic gate sensors.

CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 heterostructure solids with high stability and photoluminescence for white light-emitting diodes

Longshi Rao et al.

Summary: By embedding CsPbBr3 in a Cs4PbBr6 matrix, the issues of intrinsic instability and decreased photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) in the solid-state are simultaneously addressed. The optimized CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 microcrystals show a high PLQY and improved photostability and thermostability. The CsPbBr3/Cs4PbBr6 microcrystals are successfully applied in white LEDs (WLEDs) with high optical and temperature/humidity-stable performances.
