Coping with fibromyalgia during the COVID-19 pandemic: adjustment and wellbeing

Alison M. Bacon et al.

Summary: The present study investigated the wellbeing, perceived symptom change, and coping strategies in individuals with and without FMS during the social lockdown in the UK. Mindfulness and Acceptance-Based Interventions in Physical Therapist Practice: The Time Is Now

Joe Tatta et al.

Summary: Research shows that MABIs are associated with improved health outcomes in various areas of physical therapist practice. This article aims to describe MABIs, discuss their relevance to physical therapist practice, and identify outcome measures related to health behavior change. It is suggested that incorporating MABIs into patient care can have positive impacts on physical and mental well-being. However, the evidence of MABIs needs to be translated into minimum standards for health promotion and prevention of chronic diseases.

A Perspective on Implementation of Technology-Driven Exergames for Adults as Telerehabilitation Services

Cecil J. W. Meulenberg et al.

Summary: A major concern of public health authorities is to encourage adults to be exposed to enriched environments during the pandemic lockdown. Exergames, particularly those using extended reality (XR) technology, offer opportunities for physical and cognitive engagement. The combination of virtual and real elements in XR creates immersive experiences and allows for the training of real-life activities. By adding telemedicine features, exergames can provide feedback and assessment for cognitive-motor abilities.

The coefficient of determination R-squared is more informative than SMAPE, MAE, MAPE, MSE and RMSE in regression analysis evaluation

Davide Chicco et al.

Summary: Regression analysis is a key component of supervised machine learning, predicting continuous targets from other variables. While binary classification has targets with two values, regression can have multiple values. However, there is no consensus on a standard metric for evaluating regression results, with commonly used measures like MSE, RMSE, MAE, and MAPE having interpretability limitations.
