Summary: This study analyzed the historical development and emerging fields of flood hazard assessment (FHA)-related research using bibliometric analysis. The results showed that the number of articles on FHA-related research has been increasing rapidly. The study also found that FHA-related research in developing countries lags behind developed countries but is advancing. Future research may focus on global change, coastal floods, compound disasters, and psycho-social aspects of flooding. Remote sensing and machine learning are also being increasingly used in this research field.

Summary: The study found that water environment problems are becoming increasingly severe in five representative cities in China and Southeast Asia, including water pollution, reduced aquatic biodiversity, and excessive groundwater extraction. To address these issues, countries and organizations have begun constructing wastewater treatment plants and developing water-saving technologies.

Summary: This study explores the spatiotemporal variation in vegetation net primary productivity (NPP) and the carbon sink capacity in Shaanxi Province, China. The results show an increasing trend in NPP and carbon sink capacity from 2000 to 2019, with higher values in the south compared to the north. The study also highlights the sensitivity of NPP to precipitation and the bimodal variation with elevation. Understanding these patterns is crucial for ecological protection and restoration efforts.

Summary: Precipitation patterns in Shaanxi Province, China exhibit higher concentration in the south and lower concentration in the north. The annual distribution of rainfall is uneven, with a decreasing trend over the past few decades. These findings are significant for water resource management and drought risk assessment in Shaanxi Province.

Summary: The paper identifies the main causes of pollution in the Bagmati River and proposes key measures to improve water quality, including artificial aeration, artificial floating islands, and improved wastewater treatment. The paper describes a Descriptive Solution Model that aims to restore the river's ecosystem and environment and suggests considering the export coefficient as a dynamic variable for assessing non-point pollution sources in the future.

Summary: This study reviews urban flood numerical simulations and identifies accuracy and computational efficiency as the two key areas hindering the improvement of model quality. The 1D-2D coupling model, finite volume method, unstructured meshing method, and hybrid parallel computing applications are found to be the most effective strategies. Furthermore, the complex coupling of models and the lack of validation data remain crucial challenges in the development of urban flood modeling.

Summary: Climate change and urbanization have led to increasingly frequent urban flooding worldwide. The concept of Sponge City, proposed in China, aims to achieve an urban hydrological balance through natural storage, infiltration, and purification. A survey comparing new and old communities in Xixian New District and Xi'an found that residents in the Sponge City have a better understanding and acceptance of the concept compared to those in traditional cities. Age and education level also influence perception and acceptance of the Sponge City. This study highlights the importance of residents' opinions and suggests the need for policy formulation and public participation.
