Heat Transport Exploration for Hybrid Nanoparticle (Cu, Fe3O4)-Based Blood Flow via Tapered Complex Wavy Curved Channel with Slip Features

A. Abbasi et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the blood flow in a complex wavy curved channel in the presence of hybrid nanoparticles. The results reveal that the concentration of nanoparticles reduces the velocity of the blood and assists in the non-uniform channel core. Moreover, the volume fraction of nanoparticles and the dimensionless curvature of the channel decrease the temperature profile.

Naveed Ahmad Khan et al.

Summary: In this paper, a novel soft computing technique using artificial neural networks is designed to analyze the mathematical model of thin film flow of Johnson-Segalman fluid on a vertical cylinder in drainage systems. The training of neurons in an LNN structure is carried out by a hybridizing optimization algorithm and SQP. Different non-Newtonian parameters are studied to investigate their effects on velocity profiles.

Galerkin finite element analysis of Darcy-Brinkman-Forchheimer natural convective flow in conical annular enclosure with discrete heat sources

Wael Al-Kouz et al.

Summary: This numerical study analyzes thermal convection induced by buoyancy forces within a conical annular porous gap filled with SWCNT-H2O nanoliquid. The study adopts the Darcy-Forchheimer model and uses GFEM to predict thermal and hydrodynamic fields. Results show that heat transfer rate decreases with Ha and increases with Da and phi, with convective regime being predominant when the heat source is located at the bottom wall.

Mixed convection MHD nanofluid flow over a wedge with temperature-dependent heat source

P. Mishra et al.

Summary: This study investigates the transfer of heat, mass and fluid flow at the boundary layer of a nanofluid past a wedge in the presence of a variable magnetic field, temperature-dependent heat source and chemical reaction. The nonlinear partial differential equations are numerically solved after transformation into ordinary differential equations, showing the effects of different factors on the flow, with thermal radiation reducing the heat in the fluid.

Numerical investigation of natural convection on Al2O3-water porous enclosure partially heated with two fins attached to its hot wall: under the MHD effects

Khaled Al-Farhany et al.

Summary: Increasing the Hartman number decreases the average Nusselt number, while increasing the nano-solid particle volume fraction, Rayleigh number, Darcy number, length of the hot fins, and length of the partially heated wall leads to a higher heat transfer rate.

Effects of fins on magnetohydrodynamic conjugate natural convection in a nanofluid-saturated porous inclined enclosure

Khaled Al-Farhany et al.

Summary: This study numerically investigates the magnetohydrodynamic conjugate heat transfer characteristics of a ferrofluid-filled porous inclined enclosure, with a focus on the influence of parameters such as fins length, gap between fins, modified Rayleigh number, Darcy number, and Hartmann number on the average Nusselt number. The results suggest that the fins length and gap between fins play a significant role in heat transfer enhancement, while the modified Rayleigh number, Darcy number, and Hartmann number also have notable effects.

High-Efficiency Drive for IPMSM Based on Model Predictive Control

Yunfei Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a high-efficiency drive based on model predictive control (HED-MPC) to improve the efficiency of the interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM), utilizing an equivalent IPMSM model to optimize dq-current function. The controller selected is MPC for its ability to handle complex nonlinearities and constraints, with simulation and experiments validating the proposed HED-MPC. Efficiency maps demonstrate the potential of HED-MPC in enlarging the speed range of IPMSM, making it applicable in both industrial and daily life settings.

Unsteady Mixed Bioconvection Flow of Eyring-Powell Nanofluid with Motile Gyrotactic Microorganisms Past Stretching Surface

A. Mahdy

Summary: The provided mathematical analysis aims to examine the behavior of gyrotactic microorganisms in special Eyring-Powell nanofluid loaded by nanoparticles and gyrotactic microorganisms, with the impact of Lorentz forces and zero nanoparticle flux condition at boundary. The study mutated the controlling highly nonlinear partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations and solved them computationally, presenting significant impacts of unsteady parameter on heat transfer and local density numbers. The comparison between Newtonian and non-Newtonian Powell-Eyring fluid on velocity and temperature distributions confirmed the methodology's highly satisfactory results under special conditions.

Significance of quadratic thermal radiation and quadratic convection on boundary layer two-phase flow of a dusty nanoliquid past a vertical plate

B. Mahanthesh et al.

Summary: Numerical study of boundary layer two-phase flow of particulate Al2O3-H2O nanoliquid over a vertical flat plate was conducted considering quadratic thermal convection and thermal radiation. Different models were used to describe the flow of dusty nanoliquids, with nonlinear thermal radiation showing the best heat transfer enhancement, followed by quadratic thermal radiation and linear thermal radiation. Furthermore, the presence of Al2O3 nanoparticles improved heat transport, while an increase in dust particles mass fraction reduced it.

Computational single phase comparative study of inclined MHD in a Powell-Eyring nanofluid

Wasim Jamshed et al.

Summary: The study investigated the heat transfer and entropy of transient non-Newtonian Powell-Eyring nanofluid flow over a stretched flat surface, analyzing the effect of different parameters on the system. It found that the thermal conductivity in Powell-Eyring phenomena gradually increases compared to conventional fluid, with Cu-MeOH nanofluid showing superior thermal conductivity over SiC-MeOH nanofluid. The system's entropy increases with the incorporation of nanoparticle volume fraction, thermal radiation, and material parameters, while slip parameters act as a resistance force that decreases system entropy.
