Photocatalytic properties of Cu-containing ZnO nanoparticles and their antifungal activity against agriculture-pathogenic fungus

F. Paraguay-Delgado et al.

Summary: In this study, ZnO nanoparticles and CuO nanoparticles with different doping levels were prepared through the hydrothermal method. The results showed that high Cu incorporation in ZnO led to the formation of a composite oxide, while lower Cu doping resulted in Cu being incorporated as a dopant. The Cu-doped samples exhibited enhanced visible light absorption and superior photocatalytic and antifungal activities.
