The path to proton structure at 1% accuracy NNPDF Collaboration

Richard D. Ball et al.

Summary: We present NNPDF4.0, a new set of parton distribution functions (PDFs) based on a global dataset and machine learning techniques. The methodology includes the expansion of the dataset, optimization of hyperparameters, and the implementation of theoretical improvements. The results have been validated through closure tests and analyzed for their dependence on input choices. The implications of NNPDF4.0 on LHC processes have also been studied.

Triphoton production at hadron colliders in NNLO QCD

Stefan Kallweit et al.

Summary: In this study, NNLO QCD corrections to the production of three isolated photons in hadronic collisions are presented at the fully differential level. The importance of NNLO corrections for describing ATLAS 8TeV data and future precision studies of triphoton production at higher collision energies is demonstrated through numerical results. The study confirms the indispensability of NNLO corrections for achieving accurate predictions in high-energy physics experiments.

Leading-color two-loop QCD corrections for three-photon production at hadron colliders

S. Abreu et al.

Summary: In this study, the two-loop helicity amplitudes for producing three photons at hadron colliders in QCD were computed using a numerical unitarity method and analytic reconstruction techniques. These amplitudes were decomposed in terms of master integrals in analytic form, and the two-loop finite remainders were efficiently evaluated across the physical phase space. These results were packaged in a public code, making a five-point two-loop process available for immediate phenomenological applications.

Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order Study of Three-Jet Production at the LHC

Michal Czakon et al.

Summary: This study utilizes multijet rates to explore quantum chromodynamics (QCD), calculating NNLO QCD corrections for three-jet observables and three-to-two jet ratios. It demonstrates a significant reduction in the dependence of these observables on factorization and renormalization scales. This proof-of-principle computation represents a milestone in perturbative QCD.

Two-Loop Helicity Amplitudes for Diphoton Plus Jet Production in Full Color

Bakul Agarwal et al.

Summary: This study presented the two-loop QCD amplitudes for the production of two photons and a jet at hadron colliders with full-color dependence, marking the first time radiative corrections for a five-particle scattering process beyond the leading-color approximation have been computed at this perturbative order in QCD. The results are crucial for ensuring reliable predictions with unprecedented precision for diphoton production at hadron colliders, and the methodologies described in the study simplify the calculation and can be applied to a wider range of five-point scattering processes.

Virtual QCD corrections to gluon-initiated diphoton plus jet production at hadron colliders

Simon Badger et al.

Summary: This study presents an analytic computation of the gluon-initiated contribution to diphoton plus jet production at hadron colliders up to two loops in QCD. The researchers reconstruct the analytic form of the finite remainders and provide a fast and stable implementation for the interference between one-loop and two-loop finite remainders in C++.

Two-loop leading-color helicity amplitudes for three-photon production at the LHC

Herschel A. Chawdhry et al.

Summary: The study calculates all planar contributions to the two-loop massless helicity amplitudes for the q (q) over bar -> gamma gamma gamma process and presented the results in analytic form using the functional basis proposed by Chicherin and Sotnikov. The research combines various modern computational techniques and agrees with a recent calculation of the same amplitude performed using different techniques, suggesting that the framework is suitable for calculating two-loop multi-leg amplitudes.

Leading-color two-loop QCD corrections for three-jet production at hadron colliders

S. Abreu et al.

Summary: This study presents a complete set of leading-color two-loop contributions for obtaining next-to-next-to-leading-order (NNLO) QCD corrections to three-jet production at hadron colliders. Analytic expressions for a generating set of finite remainders valid in the physical region for three-jet production were obtained. The analytic continuation of known Euclidean-region results was determined from a small set of numerical evaluations of the amplitudes, suitable for phenomenological applications.

Summary: The study calculates the NNLO QCD corrections for diphoton production with an additional jet at the LHC, improving the accuracy of predicting the transverse momentum distribution of the diphoton system.
