Carrollian and Galilean conformal higher-spin algebras in any dimensions

Andrea Campoleoni et al.

Summary: The study introduces higher-spin algebras containing a Poincare subalgebra and explores their potential as candidate rigid symmetries for higher-spin gauge theories or Carrollian conformal higher-spin symmetries. It also discusses the definition of higher-spin algebras containing a Galilean conformal subalgebra, to be interpreted as non-relativistic limits of the conformal symmetries.

Limits of JT gravity

Daniel Grumiller et al.

Summary: Various limits of JT gravity, including Newton-Cartan and Carrollian versions of dilaton gravity in two dimensions, as well as a theory on the three-dimensional light cone, have been constructed. The BF formulation relates boundary connection with boundary scalar, yielding the particle action on a group manifold or some Hamiltonian reduction thereof. AdS-Carroll gravity yields a twisted warped boundary action in our formulation, with comments on numerous applications and generalizations.

Colourful Poincare symmetry, gravity and particle actions

Joaquim Gomis et al.

Summary: The paper presents a generalization of the three-dimensional Poincare algebra that includes a color symmetry factor, which can be used to define colored Poincare gravity and study generalized particle models. Different particle models based on colored Poincare symmetry orbits are discussed, serving as a starting point for describing particles interacting with a nonabelian background field or as a worldline formulation for associated quantum field theory.

AdS3/AdS2 degression of massless particles

Konstantin Alkalaev et al.

Summary: The study focuses on a Kaluza-Klein type mechanism involving the degression of a 3d/2d dimensional particle in AdS(3) space into AdS(2) particles of equal energies. It demonstrates that higher-spin representations in o(2,2) can decompose into equal modules in o(1,2) when lying on the massless unitary bound. Truncation to a finite spectrum is achieved through specific mode expansions, diagonalizations, and identities in two dimensions.

Non-relativistic and Carrollian limits of Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity

Joaquim Gomis et al.

Summary: The study presents the non-relativistic and Carrollian versions of Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity, demonstrating that there are no divergences in the non-relativistic and Carrollian limits in the second order formulation. By introducing a relativistic BF theory in the first order formalism, some divergences can be avoided.
