Modification in structural, optical, morphological, and electrical properties of zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) by metal (Ni, Co) dopants for electronic device applications

Shahroz Saleem et al.

Summary: In this study, Zinc Oxide nanoparticles doped with Nickel and Cobalt were successfully synthesized via chemical co-precipitation method. Characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and SEM were used to investigate the phase, optical properties, and composition changes, showing that increasing dopant concentration led to reduced crystallite size and bandgap value. The findings suggest the potential of tuning the properties of metal-doped ZnO for optoelectronic applications.

Structural, optical and electrical properties of CuSCN nano-powders doped with Li for optoelectronic applications

A. M. Abdulwahab et al.

Summary: Pure and Li-doped CuSCN nano-powders were prepared using an in situ method, and their structural, optical, and electrical properties were investigated. Doping with Li resulted in a decrease in crystallite size, an increase in optical band gap energy, and a decrease in electrical conductivity, thus improving the optoelectronic performance of CuSCN.

Hydrothermally derived co, Ni co-doped ZnO nanorods; structural, optical, and morphological study

Muhammad Shahid Nadeem et al.

Summary: Thin films of ZnO and Co, Ni co-doped ZnO nanorods were successfully synthesized on a silicon substrate using the hydrothermal method. The effects of co-doping on the structural, morphological, and optical properties of ZnO nanorods were investigated. Co and Ni co-doping led to changes in lattice parameters and a decrease in the optical bandgap.

Influence of Mg and Cu dual-doping on phytogenic synthesized ZnO for light induced antibacterial and radical scavenging activities

Ashmalina Rahman et al.

Summary: In this study, dual-doping of zinc oxide with magnesium and copper using aqueous leaf extract of Ziziphus mauritiana Lam was successfully performed, resulting in a reduction in particle size and optical band gap energy of the synthesized ZnO. The presence of phytochemicals played an important role in stabilizing and capping the phytogenic synthesized ZnO. The synthesized materials exhibited good antibacterial activities towards Staphylococcus aureus compared to Escherichia coli and good 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl free radicals scavenging activity under visible light irradiation.
