The Effect of High-Temperature Stress on the Physiological Indexes, Chloroplast Ultrastructure, and Photosystems of two Herbaceous Peony Cultivars

Lixia Zhang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the reasons for the decrease in photosynthetic rate under high-temperature stress in two herbaceous peony cultivars with different heat tolerances. The results showed that the high temperature led to significant damage in QL, affecting the energy flow and electron transfer in the photosystems. In contrast, FYN exhibited better heat-tolerance abilities.

Transcriptome analysis uncovering regulatory networks and hub genes of Populus photosynthesis and chlorophyll content

Kang Du et al.

Summary: Photosynthesis plays a vital role in plant growth and is influenced by environmental signals and circadian rhythms. By analyzing the transcriptome of two poplar progenies with different photosynthesis rates, we identified genes related to circadian rhythm and photosynthesis. We found that circadian oscillators regulate photosynthesis-associated nuclear genes and carotenoid metabolism genes before dawn, while other factors affect leaf size, stomatal movement, and chlorophyll accumulation.

Optimization of Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction of Peony Seed Oil with Response Surface Methodology and Analysis of Fatty Acid

Min Li et al.

Summary: The optimized ultrasound-assisted extraction conditions for peony seed oil were determined using response surface methodology, with a maximum yield reached 100 days after pollination and the highest relative content of fatty acids observed from 95 to 105 days after pollination. These findings may serve as important references for the industrialization and seed harvest time of peony in the future.
