Curcumin and metformin synergistically modulate peripheral and central immune mechanisms of pain

Summary: In this study, it was found that curcumin can synergistically enhance the anti-inflammatory effects of metformin, and this interaction has potential therapeutic implications for pain. The synergistic effect was observed in both peripheral and central pathways of pain. Furthermore, the combination of curcumin and metformin did not result in adverse effects on the central nervous system.
