Summary: Vegetation phenology, the study of plant life cycle stages linked to ecosystem processes and climate change, is increasingly being monitored and assessed using remote sensing technology. Recent studies show that satellite-derived Land Surface Phenology (LSP) metrics can detect timing of events with reasonable certainty, particularly for spring metrics, but autumn phenology remains more challenging. Opportunities for further advancements in remote sensing include the use of multiple orbital sensors and combining data from different levels, while ground-based observations will continue to be important for accurate recording of species-specific phenological events.

By establishing a cost function-based reliability allocation model and using pair-copula function to describe correlations among multi-failure modes.
