Decoding Digital Visual Stimulation From Neural Manifold With Fuzzy Leaning on Cortical Oscillatory Dynamics

Haitao Yu et al.

Summary: A new decoding method based on cortical activity is proposed to find critical visual information. By studying the EEG alpha band and using manifold learning methods, the cyclic manifold of brain state dynamics is discovered to improve visual decoding accuracy. This work is significant for brain-computer interface control, brain function research, and neural rehabilitation.

Significant anisotropic neuronal refractory period plasticity

Roni Vardi et al.

Summary: The absolute refractory periods of neurons can be significantly extended by preceding evoked spikes, with the duration increasing with the frequency of stimulations. The refractory periods saturate at the intermittent phase of neuronal response latency. Preceding stimulations via different extracellular routes do not affect the absolute refractory periods.

A review on the attention mechanism of deep learning

Zhaoyang Niu et al.

Summary: This paper provides an overview of state-of-the-art attention models and defines a unified model suitable for most attention structures. It describes in detail each step of the attention mechanism implemented in the model and classifies existing attention models based on four criteria. Additionally, it summarizes the use of attention mechanisms in network architectures and typical applications.
