Effects of Eph/ephrin signalling and human Alzheimer?s disease-associated EphA1 on Drosophila behaviour and neurophysiology

Edgar Buhl et al.

Summary: This study investigates the role of the EphA1 gene in Alzheimer's disease using a fruit fly model. The results demonstrate the involvement of the Eph/ephemin signaling pathway in AD-related behaviors and neurophysiology.

Circadian Sleep-Activity Rhythm across Ages in Down Syndrome

Annalysa Lovos et al.

Summary: Individuals with Down syndrome experience high rates of sleep problems and cognitive impairments. This study investigated circadian rhythm disruption in people with DS and its correlation with cognitive performance. Results showed differences in phase timing and circadian robustness between children, adolescents, and adults with DS, with some correlations between stability and cognitive outcomes. Sleep efficiency was not found to be related to cognitive performance in this group.
