Summary: SPNS2 expression in CRC is regulated by copy number variation and DNA methylation, with high expression associated with colon adenoma and CRC, but low expression correlated with advanced stage and poor prognosis. Ectopic expression of SPNS2 inhibits proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis of CRC cells by regulating PTEN and Akt activity.
