Mosquito Attractants

Summary: Many studies have shown the effectiveness of various compounds and odor blends in attracting mosquitoes, providing a potential basis for lure-and-kill traps. However, further improvements in the search for new volatile attractants are needed to account for potential variations in mosquito attraction to odors over their lifecycle or among species. The use of mosquito attractants is expected to play an increasingly important role in future integrated vector management programs.
