Risk factors of overweight/obesity-related lifestyles in university students: Results from the EHU12/24 study

Summary: This study investigated the prevalence and interaction of overweight/obesity-related lifestyles among university students. Unhealthy lifestyle behaviors were found to coexist, interact with each other, and increase the risk of overweight/obesity in this population. Sex-specific differences in risk factors of obesity have implications for interventions for primary prevention of obesity within this environment.

Factors Related to Diet Quality: A Cross-Sectional Study of 1055 University Students

Adherence to Mediterranean Diet among Lebanese University Students

Factors Associated with Adherence to the Mediterranean Diet and Dietary Habits among University Students in Lebanon

Summary: Although the Mediterranean Diet is recognized as the best overall diet for 2020, the adherence to this diet among university students in Lebanon is relatively low, with only 18.8% of students showing high adherence. Students who always eat breakfast and do not skip meals have higher adherence to the Mediterranean Diet, and students with lower BMI and higher nutritional knowledge scores are more likely to answer nutritional knowledge questions correctly. Additionally, students with excellent academic performance have higher adherence to the Mediterranean Diet.
