Influence of physical training on intracellular and extracellular zinc concentrations

Victor Toro-Roman et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the influence of physical training on zinc concentrations. The results showed that athletes who underwent regular physical training had elevated plasma zinc concentrations and reduced erythrocyte zinc concentrations.

Analysis of Intracellular and Extracellular Selenium Concentrations: Differences According to Training Level

Victor Toro-Roman et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the concentrations of selenium in athletes and subjects with low levels of physical training, and found that physical training can modify selenium metabolism. Deficiencies in selenium concentrations may exist at the intracellular level.

Copper concentration in erythrocytes, platelets, plasma, serum and urine: influence of physical training

Victor Toro-Roman et al.

Summary: Physical training can affect the concentrations of Copper (Cu) in different bodily compartments, with this study showing lower Cu concentrations in erythrocytes in trained individuals. While other compartments showed no significant differences, it is recommended to assess trace element concentrations in both extracellular and intracellular compartments to identify potential deficiencies, and consider additional Cu supplementation for athletes engaged in regular physical training.
