Prediction of breakthrough curves in a fixed-bed column based on normalized Gudermannian and error functions

Qili Hu et al.

Summary: The breakthrough models discussed in this study can accurately describe the diffusion-limited process on heterogeneous surfaces, with the fractal-like Gudermannian model providing the best fit for adsorption of norfloxacin and methylene blue. These models offer important supplements to existing adsorption model studies.

Deeper Insights into the Bohart-Adams Model in a Fixed-Bed Column

Qili Hu et al.

Summary: The study introduces n-order Bohart-Adams and fractal-like Bohart-Adams models, showing non-linear decay and diffusion-limited adsorption processes, respectively. These new models exhibit better fitting performance in practical applications compared to the Bohart-Adams model.
