The NLRP6 inflammasome

Danping Zheng et al.

Summary: NLRP6, a member of the NOD-like receptor family, acts as a cytosolic innate immune sensor recognizing microbial patterns. It can form an inflammasome to mediate the maturation and secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines, but also exerts functions independently of the inflammasome, playing a critical role in maintaining tissue homeostasis.

NLRP6 in host defense and intestinal inflammation

K. Venuprasad et al.

Summary: NLRP6 is a protein that recognizes pathogen-derived factors, playing a crucial role in maintaining epithelial integrity and defending against microbial infections. It forms an inflammasome complex with other proteins to cleave pro-inflammatory cytokines into their active forms. Recent advances have shed light on the activation mechanisms of the NLRP6 inflammasome.

Exosomal miR-92b-3p Promotes Chemoresistance of Small Cell Lung Cancer Through the PTEN/AKT Pathway

Ming Li et al.

Summary: The study revealed that miR-92b-3p expression was increased in SCLC patients and correlated with chemoresistance. By affecting the PTEN/AKT regulatory network, miR-92b-3p mediated cell migration and chemoresistance in SCLC. Additionally, miR-92b-3p was identified as a potential dynamic biomarker for monitoring chemoresistance in SCLC.

Exosomal miR-375-3p breaks vascular barrier and promotes small cell lung cancer metastasis by targeting claudin-1

Shuangshuang Mao et al.

Summary: This study identified the crucial role of exosomal miRNA-375-3p in regulating vascular endothelial barrier integrity and SCLC metastasis. miRNA-375-3p has the potential to serve as a novel biomarker for monitoring metastasis and guiding clinical therapeutics in SCLC patients.
