TSA-SCC: Text Semantic-Aware Screen Content Coding With Ultra Low Bitrate

Tong Tang et al.

Summary: Screen content has become an important type of internet media information, with textual information accounting for a large proportion. Traditional coding schemes struggle to compress text information. A proposed method based on text semantics shows significant improvement in reducing bitrate while maintaining visual quality when encoding screen content at ultra low bitrates.

Fine-Grained User Profiling for Personalized Task Matching in Mobile Crowdsensing

Fan Wu et al.

Summary: In this paper, a personalized task recommender system for mobile crowdsensing is proposed, which recommends tasks to users based on a recommendation score that considers each user's preference and reliability. The system characterizes users' preference with a hybrid preference metric using implicit feedback, and profiles users' reliability levels with a semi-supervised learning model and an efficient block coordinate descent algorithm. Evaluations show that the system outperforms benchmarks in user profiling and personalized task recommendation.

Exploiting Transfer Learning for Emotion Recognition Under Cloud-Edge-Client Collaborations

Dapeng Wu et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel emotion recognition framework that is responsive, localized, and private, utilizing cloud-edge-client collaborations. A 3D channel mapping method is designed to aggregate features extracted from EEG signals to enhance the generic emotion recognition model. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed TLER framework in reducing model training time and improving emotion recognition accuracy.

A Personalized Secure Publishing Mechanism of the Sensing Location Data in Crowdsensing Location-Based Services

Yun He et al.

Summary: Personalized secure publishing mechanism is proposed to protect both geographic and social semantic attribute-related privacy of user's sensing location data. Different privacy protection needs based on sensitive events are considered, and collaborative protection effects are optimized with a Stackelberg game to achieve a balance between user data security and data quality. The effectiveness of the proposed mechanism is demonstrated through experiments on real-world dataset.
