Impact of missing pedigrees in single-step genomic evaluation

Karin Meyer

Summary: Missing pedigrees can significantly affect predicted breeding values in ssGBLUP analyses. To reduce bias, allocating genotyped individuals to separate unknown parent groups for each breed or strain is a simple and effective strategy.
