Optimization and compensation of models on tomato soluble solids content assessment with online Vis/NIRS diffuse transmission system

Summary: This study developed an efficient and compensable model for predicting the soluble solids content of tomatoes using the online Vis/NIRS diffuse transmission system. The combination of Savitzky-Golay smoothing and multiplicative scatter correction as pretreatment methods, along with the selection of key wavelengths using competitive adaptive reweighted sampling, improved the accuracy of the model. The results demonstrated the potential of using this method as a valuable tool for tomato SSC assessment.
