The results showed that Katrice-16 exhibited strong activity in vitro and in vivo, with anti-biofilm properties and synergistic effects with meropenem. Enhanced photodynamic therapy of TiO2/N-succinyl-chitosan composite for killing cancer cells

Summary: This study investigated the effect of TiO2/N-succinyl-chitosan composite (TiO2/NSCS) photodynamic therapy (PDT) on the activation of photosensitizer under various light sources. The results showed that TiO2/NSCS had a strong photokilling effect on glioma cells (U251), and the killing effect was positively correlated with concentration and irradiation time. Both UVA and visible light could excite TiO2/NSCS, leading to significant cell killing effects on U251 cells by inducing apoptosis. TiO2/NSCS could be a potential photosensitizer in PDT.
