Porous perovskite-lanthanum cobaltite as an efficient cocatalyst in photoelectrocatalytic water oxidation by bismuth doped g-C3N4

Mahdi Karimi-Nazarabad et al.

Summary: A novel photoanode was designed for efficient photoelectrocatalytic water splitting by electrophoretic loading of porous perovskite-lanthanum cobaltite (LaCoO3) on bismuth doped g-C3N4 (Bi@g-C3N4). The addition of Bi and LaCoO3 significantly enhanced the photoconversion efficiency, improved electron transfer, and reduced electrochemical impedance, leading to higher photocurrent density and better performance compared to pristine g-C3N4 and Bi@g-C3N4 alone.
