A Nb2CTx/sodium alginate-based composite film with neuron-like network for self-powered humidity sensing

Qiuni Zhao et al.

Summary: In this study, a high-performance electronic humidity sensor and a sustainable voltage output moisture-triggered nanogenerator were developed using a composite film. Applications of the humidity sensor include respiration assessment, noncontact monitoring, and intelligent alarm. The integration of the sensor and a capacitor and LED resulted in a self-powered sensing system capable of indicating different relative humidity levels. This work not only presents the design and fabrication of a smart self-powered humidity sensing system, but also paves the way for the development of next-generation intelligent wearable electronics.

Piezoelectric fiber composites with polydopamine interfacial layer for self-powered wearable biomonitoring

Yuanjie Su et al.

Summary: The study focused on doping ceramic nanofillers into polymer matrices to develop high-performance nanocomposites, with the goal of enhancing the interaction between the nanofillers and polymer matrix. Through experimental and theoretical analysis, it was found that polydopamine (PDA) coating on the ceramic nanoparticles could effectively promote the interaction, leading to improved composite performance. Based on this finding, a polydopamine modified nonwoven piezoelectric textile was successfully constructed, demonstrating outstanding sensitivity and long-term stability for wearable biomonitoring applications.
